Projects and Plans for the HETF
SCOPING FOR LAUPAHOEHOE FACILITY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Since the establishment of the HETF in 2007 plans have been underway to construct an education and science center at both the Laupahoehoe and Puu Waawaa Units of the HETF. As part of the process, the public is invited to participate in the planning of the education and science center at the Laupahoehoe Unit (LHH) of the HETF. Initial public scoping and plans for the center considered a location near the HETF. New locations for facilities are now under consideration and the scope of the proposed action is outlined in a letter from the PSW Station Director, Deanna Stouder.

We look forward to working with the community on the HETF LHH Education and Science Center and together, we hope to make Center a place that the public can be proud of helping to develop.
